Museum of Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova permanent display
The Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova Museum display looks at three aspects of the artists’ lives: creative work, social life and family.
The display, a reconstruction of the artists’ home, features artworks by Suta and Beļcova, personal items and documents. Visitors can see Romans Suta acting in extracts from the film about the 1802 peasant rebellion Kaugurieši (1941, dir, Voldemārs Pūce). Also available are the television documentaries on art made by the artists’ daughter, art historian Tatjana Suta (1923-2004).
