Museum accessibility
Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova Museum is open for everyone and strives to maintain an environment that is accessible and adapted to all. This section gathers useful information for planning a visit to the museum for people with reduced mobility as well as visual or hearing impairment and contains practical information of general interest.
Accessibility of Environment, Car Parking and Access to the Building
- The nearest free parking places for persons with disabilities who hold a parking permit are located on the corner of Elizabetes iela and K. Barona iela by the building in K. Barona iela 16, close to the Latvian Puppet Theatre (2 parking places), and at Dzirnavu iela 58 on the corner with Brīvības iela, opposite to the shopping centre Galleria Riga (2 parking places). The nearest car parks can be found here.
- The museum is located on the 5th floor, entrance to the building has three steps and assistance is required to open the door wider.
- The building has a lift with narrow, inward-opening door leaves.
- Guide and assistance dogs are permitted inside the museum.
Accessibility of Services
- Children under 18 with disabilities, persons with group I or II disabilities (on presenting a disability certificate) and one person accompanying a child under 18 with disabilities or a person with group I disability as well as orphans or children without parental care (on presenting a certificate) are entitled to free admission to the museum.
