Textile printing workshop Madarošana is a creative introduction to one of the main printing techniques in textile art – the screenprint.
In the introduction of the activity, participants study the madarojumi of painter and master of decorative arts Ansis Cīrulis' and various examples of works printed using screenprinting technique. Then each visitor has the chance to try their hand in this ancient technique using screens, made after motifs from the works of Latvian old masters (Ansis Cīrulis, Jūlijs Straume and Jūlijs Madernieks) and young artists.
Additional Information
- Minimum number of participants – 5; maximum number of participants in the group – 15.
- It is recommended to arrive at the museum around 15–20 minutes before the beginning of the activity to allow time for the services of the ticket office and cloakroom.
- The activity can be adapted to people with special needs as well as members of ethnic minorities (by adjusting the language difficulty level).
