Lifelong learning project

The year 2011, when the volunteer work programme of the Latvian National Museum of Art received the Latvian Museums Association Gold Dust award in the Museum Lifelong Learning Project, was the European Year of Voluntary Work.

In that year the programme was improved and expanded – improvements were made in its internal organisation, a volunteer motivation system was developed and many new participants joined the programme.
