Art Museum Youth Club
Art Museum Youth Club is a dynamic program for young people (15+) who are interested in culture and art and want to get to know the backstage operations of a museum and feel the calling to actively participate in the fashioning of the supply of the Latvian National Museum of Art.
The program was established in 2017, when its participants realized manifold creative ideas, in a collaboration between different Latvian cultural organizations and professionals. The involvement of the Youth Club in the biggest events of the museum life is characterized by events and undertakings such as specialized activities during exhibitions, preparation of printed and electronic publications, Spotify playlist preparation, organizing activities for the programs of the Museum Night and the International Museum Day, creation of Youth Club guide and performances at the exhibitions of young artists. The representatives of the program have taken part in Hospitāļu street festival, Conversation festival LAMPA, festival LABA DABA, as well as organized their exhibition “HOW TO #BĒRNĪBA” at Daugava Stadium.
Participation in Youth Club allows youth a better understanding and awareness of future study, professional, and job opportunities. We can be proud that the past and present participants include students of the Art Academy of Latvia, architecture and design students in the USA and Great Britain, youth employed in the field of art, young actors, poets, and writers.
The next admittance of new members will be open on August, 2025. The program language is Latvian.
