Guided Tour in the Museum
Romans Suta and Aleksandra Beļcova Museum offers visitors of different ages the opportunity to get to know the work of Latvian classical modernists – Suta and Beļcova – in the first half of the 20th century.
The engaging narrative in the former atelier of Romans Suta, the salon of both artists as well as the room of their daughter, ballet dancer, art historian and television journalist Tatjana Suta provides an overview of different aspects of both artists' lives: their creative, social and family lives.
The guided tour from the side of the museum pedagogue is accompanied by questions that stimulate discussion.
In addition to the museum pedagogue's general tour there is a possibility to focus on any of the following topics, confirming the choice of topic with museum staff in advance:
- art and life of Aleksandra Beļcova;
- personality and life of Romans Suta;
- cubism in Latvian painting;
- Latvian classical modernism in a European context;
- art historian Tatjana Suta.
