In the Exhibition
The guided tour in the exhibition offers an insight into the formation of the Latvian National Art Museum's Collection of Casts, getting to know more deeply sculptures of ancient Greece, ancient Rome and Italian Renaissance and the specific periods of art.
The tour through the FOREST OF SCULPTURES not only takes a look at such world-famous works of art as Myron's Discobolus, Praxiteles' Hermes Carrying the Infant Dionysus, the Athena Giustiniani, Verrocchio's David with the Head of Goliath, Michelangelo's Moses, but also discusses the concept of the exhibition, various periods of art and the role of plaster casts throughout history in private and public collections in Latvia and abroad.
The guided tour is especially suited for schools and includes elements of interactivity.

- It is recommended to arrive at the museum around 15 minutes before the beginning of the guided tour to allow time for the services of the cloakroom.
