Art Conservation at the Museum
The guided exhibition tour introduces students to the mysterious and less visible conservation work which is a crucial part of the museum's everyday work. The activity takes the form of an informative walk through the building and the permanent exhibition which includes stories about the role of conservation in the work of the art museum, the most exciting examples of art conservation and ethical considerations faced by conservators working with graphic art, paintings and sculptures.
The activity develops students' creative and critical thinking and attention to detail, fosters understanding of the processes involved in creating and conserving art and actualises the subject of responsibility and values. Discussed subjects — history of art and culture, terminology of art and visual arts, personalities, society.

- It is recommended to arrive at the museum around 15-20 minutes before the beginning of the activity to allow time for the services of the ticket office and cloakroom.

- It is possible to organize two parallel events with a total maximum number of 50 participants. The activity can be adapted for students from special schools as well as ethic minority students by adapting the language difficulty level.
