Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia Letter of Commendation

On November 9, 2018, in a special event, the Minister of Culture Dace Melbārde awarded Letters of Commendation to 11 distinguished representatives of the field.

The Prime Minister Māris Kučinskis awarded the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia Letter of Commendation to Ginta Gerharde-Upeniece, the Head of the Latvian Visual Arts Department at the Latvian National Museum of Art for significant contribution in the research of Latvian art and the facilitation of international recognition, via successful organizing of the exhibitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of Latvia.

Within Latvia’s Centenary Program Dr. art. Ginta Gerharde-Upeniece has successfully organized ambitious exhibitions – the centenary project of the three Baltic countries “Wild Souls. Symbolism in the Baltic States” as well as the project “THE PORTRAIT IN LATVIA 20TH CENTURY. Facial Expressions”.
