TALKS AT THE MUSEUM: Kaido Ole (In English)

During the opening week of Kaido Ole exhibition in Riga, on Saturday, June 8 at 2 pm the talks with estonian artist Kaido Ole will take place in ARSENĀLS Exhibition Hall. Talks will be held in English.

Kaido Ole (1963) is one of the most vivid and relevant figures of the contemporary art scene of the Baltic States. Kaido Ole studied design and painting at the Estonian Academy of Arts from 1982 to 1992 and has worked at the Academy as a drawing and painting teacher and as a professor in the painting department (2003-2010). An active contributor to group exhibitions, the artist has mounted over forty solo exhibitions worldwide since 1989. In 2003, together with Marko Mäetamm, he represented Estonia at the 50th Venice Biennale. The artist resides and works in Tallinn.

 

Educational program “Talks at the Museum” offers all visitors and art enthusiasts the possibility to meet various special guests - artists, exhibition curators, philosophers, art historians and others – in the current exhibitions, to discuss though-provoking questions, cultural values and exhibition highlights and to listen to the stories of the experts.
